Apply now: Alumni Seminar Resilient Flood Risk Management 

The TH Köln University of Applied Sciences and the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern call for applications from suitable candidates for the 2019 DAAD Alumni Seminar. This event will offer the chance to exchange experience and expertise on specific topics in the field of resilient flood risk management, to merge their networks and to foster future collaboration in research and practice. It will bring together scientists and practitioners from many countries of the world, representing not only a variety of scientific disciplines but at the same time different national experiences and approaches towards flood disaster resilience.

Who can apply?

  • You hold a degree from a German University or have studied/done research at a German University for at least three months
  • Your origin is in a DAC country (OECD DAC list)

Alumni Special Projects

Scientists and executives from developing countries who have researched or studied in Germany receive further 

training (one week seminar) at a German university to update knowledge and are subsequently given the chance to attend an international trade fair or specialist forum to make contact with potential research and business partners.

Scientific Literature Programme

                         

Former one-year scholarship holders of all disciplines from developing countries and from the countries of Southeastern and Eastern Europe can apply once a year for specialist literature to help them advance their academic knowledge and qualifications.

Small Equipment Programme

One-year scholarship holders from developing countries and from the countries of Southeastern and Eastern Europe especially those from the fields of engineering, technology and science and from the agricultural and forestry science, can apply for a grant towards for purchase of small equipment and materials.

Equipment Donations Programme

Applications for scientific and research equipment can be submitted by academics and scientists working at a foreign university who completed part of their studies or research in Germany. Applications should be submitted in conjunction with a concrete research or teaching project.

Re-Invitations for Former Postgraduate Course Scholarship Holders

The DAAD can invite former foreign scholarship holders of the Development-Related Postgraduate Courses to a study visit in Germany for up to three months.
