OUR GRADUATES...
...understand how geomaterials and crystals are built and obtain training in methods and instruments used to characterize and analyze the interior, surfaces and molecular structures of solid state materials. The skills and competences will allow you start a career in materials science.
At home in one of the largest geoscience departments in Germany, the master program is organized jointly with chemistry and production engineering and profits with tight links with research institutions on campus and the industry. This combination sets the program apart as a truly interdisciplinary and unique experience for its graduates.

Materials Sciences are one of six high-profile areas at the University of Bremen, a mid-sized university (~18,000 students) combining excellent research with commitment to teaching.
As a student in Materials Chemistry and Mineralogy you will benefit from access to cutting-edge scientific instrumentation and broad expertise on a range of materials such as ceramics, oxide nanoparticles, building materials, inorganic surfaces and porous materials. OUR GRADUATES...

...understand how geodynamic processes, biogeochemical cycles and climate interact with the oceans, how the marine environment and its resources are explored, how the underlying processes are analyzed and how the impacts on the ocean environment can be minimized. You will obtain broad scientific competences and skills allowing you to embark on a geoscientific career.

We are one of the largest geoscience departments in Germany, tightly linked with numerous cooperating non-university research institutions in our neighborhood. Our particular strength is in marine science, with research and infrastructure in the field bundled at MARUM, the University of Bremen research faculty for marine environmental research and home of the German excellence initiative cluster ‘The Ocean Floor – Earth’s Uncharted Interface’. We host one of the three IODP core repositories on campus and boast excellent research facilities in all fields of geoscience. In our training, we follow the concept of closely linking theory with practice and promote the integration of postgraduate students into our research projects and expeditions.

The Carl Benz School of Engineering (CBS) - the Mechanical Engineering College of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) - offers high school graduates the unique opportunity to study internationally renowned German engineering in English. RTG 2281 "The Macroeconomics of Inequality", call for applications

The research training group 2281 provides a unique research environment that brings together ambitious doctoral students, expert members of the University of Bonn economics faculty, and external academics. RTG 2281 is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Call for applications Study the implications of inequality for macroeconomics and financial stability. Study the facts of inequality, now and in historical perspective. Study policy interventions using modern computational techniques. Write your doctoral dissertation under the supervision of internationally visible experts. Become part of a renowned doctoral program. We strongly encourage inquiries by interested students. The application process is always open. The RTG will start funding 3-year doctoral scholarships on April 1, 2019. The scholarship pays 1200 euros plus a lump sum of 103 euros per month for a period of up to 3 years. If you wish to be given full consideration for the first cohort, please apply by November 14th, 2018.

KatHO NRW Münster

The Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Münster (KatHO NRW) is specialized in social sciences with degree programmes in social work, special education, social management, supervision and counselling.

With its about 900 students KatHO NRW Münster is not too big, thus you can quickly make friends and feel at home. A new building with a state-of-the-art lecture hall and several seminar rooms offer perfect study conditions.

Our international programme

As an international student you will learn alongside with our local students and be part of our small family campus. The study programme helps you to gain knowledge, skills and experiences in international social work – in theory as well as in practical training. Courses in 2019 are for example “Child welfare and child protection in international comparison”, “Social skills for transcultural Social Work” or “Domestic violence“.

Within the programme, you can obtain up to 30 ECTS. The seminar is held in English.
