Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) operates as a provider of knowlege and stimulus to DAAD’s climapAfrica working groups' members.
The SAB members are renown international scientists with a long experience in climate change research and/or policy, prepared to bring in expertise to the climapAfrica working groups. The SAB sees itself as a lean and dynamic forum, and its composition is geared to the working groups’s field of research, presently:
- Agriculture and Rural Development
- Animal and Plant Physiology and Stress
- Biodiversity, Ecocsystems and Forests
- Land use
- Indigenous Knowledge
- Metereology
- Modelling.
Based on a mixture of initiating, challenging and promoting, the SAB members contribution will include:
- Sharing knowledge
- Giving methodological advice
- Being a sparring partner of individual researchers
- Helping to turn impact into action.
