Vision

Eine Frau und ein Mann stehen vor einem technischen Gerät, das auf einer Werkbank liegt.

Within the Digital Campus the project partners bundle their core competencies, research and development, products as well as services in the area of identification, information, preparation, selection, admission and support (offline/online) of suitable international students.

The partners are thus working on sustainable effective concepts and strategies to enhance internationalization of higher education in Germany as well as diversify the recruitment, selection, preparation and admission procedures. All these different developments take the following principles into account:
-Digitalisation: Flexible and largely time- and location-independent offers with intelligent feedback systems for people in learning and counseling processes are provided;
-Personalization and individualization: skills and competencies of individuals as well as their suitability for the study projects they have chosen are determined and promoted in a precisely tailored manner; through self-assessments and other automated feedback in the learning offerings individuals get instant feedback;
-Information self-determination: This expression of the general right of personality and the requirements of accuracy, completeness, authenticity, security and individual manageability that can be derived from it result in high demands on the use of personal data, which must be collected, checked and implemented within the framework of the Digital Campus;
-Predictability and validity: The content and course of study preparation as well as the teaching and learning processes are evaluated using comprehensive data analysis (Learning Analytics). These processes and results are supported and validated using standardized consulting and testing procedures. They also allow prognoses about the course and success of studies as well as early intervention. Study decisions can thus be made individually and institutional admission decisions can be made more objectively;
-Scalability: The configuration, expertise and interaction of the digital services as well as the content offerings of the Digital Campus partners enable qualitative and quantitative efficiencies that no system or partner could achieve on its own. The architecture of the Digital Campus will be designed in such a way that additional digital services can be integrated into the system, thereby increasing its overall performance.

The added value of the project with its networked offerings to be developed aims at providing international prospective students with a decentrally organized but bundled and uniformly prepared portfolio of offerings that systematically interlinks the strengths of digital and analog services, teaching-learning and collaboration opportunities of the participating actors. Services that appear to users as islands are thus not only digitally but also physically linked to form an archipelago of communication and learning locations. This can result in a variety of hybrid structures, collaboration and interaction formats, which not only make the German higher education system more accessible and passable, but also build bridges to other, neighboring higher education systems in the sense of international connectivity. This is particularly true of the personalization of teaching and learning offerings, because it allows the qualification and success opportunities of the individual to be taken into account on a broad basis. This makes the project's approach clearly different from singular programs with a limited scope of action.
