Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The long-standing collaboration with educational institutions in and around Marburg is reflected in teaching through practical explorations, lectures by practitioners in courses and the assignment of teaching positions to experienced practitioners. Many required courses provide content and tutorials on the learning platform as independent learning material to enable students with family responsibilities to study flexibly.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Small learning groups enable students to work together closely and allow students' input into the course schedule. Close interlinking of research and teaching is guaranteed at all times – where desired and appropriate.

Special features regarding the equipment

Students have free access to all relevant specialist journals and a wide range of digital literature via the online database of the university library.

Special features regarding research activities

For students of educational science subjects, the research focuses of heterogeneity, inclusion, participation, organisation, profession and professional action as well as counselling, which are strongly represented in the department, are of particular interest.

Other special features

The Department of Educational Science offers excellent infrastructure, particularly for visually impaired students. In addition, the department is particularly sensitive to the needs of students with physical disabilities.
