Supervision of the degree course in cooperation with two departments that receive a lot of third-party funding (Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering) with excellent connections to partners in industry and in non-university research institutions; heavily involved in all projects of the university's Excellence Initiative; Head of a Collaborative Research Centre and a Transregio; Close involvement of students, e.g. as student assistants and in bachelor/master theses as well as through research internships
