Admission requirements

- Successfully completed ship’s mechanic training or - Recognised vocational training in metalworking, electrical engineering (see list from the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH)) and 12 months seagoing service in engine room duty, of which at least six months must be completed before graduation, and an approved report booklet (report booklet is checked by the Vocational Training Centre ‘Seeschifffahrt’ in Bremen (BBS)) or - Approved practical training and seagoing service as a technical officer assistant of 18 months, of which at least twelve months must be completed before graduation and an approved report booklet (report booklet is checked by BBS)
