Admission requirements

- Fulfilment of the requirements of the Seafarers' Qualifications Ordinance - Pre-study work placement in accordance with the valid "Guidelines for practical training and seagoing service as an electrical engineering Officer Assistant": -> Duration: 6 months -> of which 4 months on board a merchant ship (before commencement of study), 7 weeks of electrical training and 2 weeks of metal training (both are possible on a company-wide basis and also during the degree course until the end of the fourth semester) -> Proof by "On Board Training Record Book for Electro-Technical Officer" (TRB) as specified by the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) -> Exemption from the internship if proof of an electrical engineering vocational training in the metal and electrical sector according to the list of recognized training professions (according to See-BV)
