For subject-specific counselling, see: https://www.uni-wuerzburg.de/studium/zsb/info/fsb/ Since 2020, the University of Würzburg has been offering the Master’s degree course in Aerospace Computer Science – a unique combination of aerospace and computer science. Graduates of this degree programme will also have excellent career opportunities in industry in this promising field, even beyond aerospace, thanks to their system design skills. Students of this degree course acquire basic knowledge of on-board data processing, instrumentation, space environment and the design of space systems. Students will be able to design, develop and operate complex integrated hardware and software systems (such as space probes, aircraft systems and observation instruments). The Bachelor’s degree programme in Aerospace Computer Science provides the special knowledge and skills necessary to be able to apply interdisciplinary content from physics, electronics, mathematics, engineering and computer science in the fields of space science, aeroengineering and space technology to solve challenging tasks.
Admission requirements
For admission to a Master’s degree course, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree course or equivalent qualification (e.g. Diploma degree, state examination) and have successfully completed an aptitude assessment procedure for this degree course. In addition, specific skills in areas relevant to the Master's must be demonstrated.
