Annotation

The students of the Master’s course in Biochemistry at the Philipps-Universität Marburg should build on their broad and well-founded scientific training in a Bachelor’s degree, in particular to further develop and deepen their research skills so that they are theoretically and practically able to experimentally carry out their own research project as part of a doctoral thesis to plan, implement and document on a scientific level.

In the Master's programme, there is the possibility of a very individual profile in the field of Biochemistry, with the possibility of occupying chemical and related, non-Biochemical fields.

Completion of a relevant Bachelor’s degree course in the field of

Chemistry,
Biology,
Biochemistry,
Biotechnology or
proof of a comparable professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree from Germany or abroad, in particular a Second State Examination in Pharmacy.
In addition, basic knowledge is comparable to the module "Biochemistry I Lecture" on the structure and reactivity of Biochemistry in the scope of 6 credit points (CP) and the module "Biochemistry I internship" in the scope of 6 CP included in the Bachelor's degree course in "Chemistry" at the Philipps University of Marburg.
