Annotation
The Medical Technology degree programme is aimed at students who are interested in working in technical engineering with the field of medicine. The combination of Mathematics, Physics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science equips students with the tools to meet the interdisciplinary challenges in the department. Building on this, core subjects teach basic knowledge of medical technology and its essential subject areas. In order to acquire skills for later fields of application in research and business, students learn medical and biological fundamentals starting in the first semester. Together with the sound technical training, these form the prerequisites for the research fields of Medical Imaging and Physics, Minimally Invasive Technologies, Telemedicine, Computer-Assisted Surgery or Medical Image Processing and Visualization represented at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
