Target group

The degree course is aimed at graduates with a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in degree programmes in the field of Southeast European Studies, History, Slavic Studies (focus on South), Romance Studies / Romanian Studies, Religious Studies, Political Science or subject-related study programmes and equivalent to a Bachelor's degree amounting to 180 credits at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements

The technical prerequisite is proof of study achievements in the field of Southeast European Studies, History, South Slavic Studies, Romance Studies / Romanian Studies, Religious Studies or Political Science in the scope of at least 60 credit points and a final grade of at least "good". Knowledge of at least one of the following languages at level A2 is also required: Bulgarian, Serbian / Croatian, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek (modern), Turkish, Albanian. International applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at the level of the DSH examination (min. level 2), the TestDaF (TDN 4x4) or a recognised equivalent.
