Target group

The degree course is aimed at graduates with a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in degree programmes in the field of German Studies with a focus on Linguistics, Indo-European Studies or subject-related study programmes and equivalent to a Bachelor's degree amounting to 180 credits at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements

A subject related requirement is proof of academic achievements in linguistics amounting to at least 50 credit points and a final grade (or average grade of the linguistic modules) of at least "good" or better. Furthermore, command of one or more modern foreign languages is also recommended. International applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at the level of the DSH examination (min. level 2), the TestDaF (TDN 4x4) or a recognised equivalent.
