Annotation

Continued population growth, climate change and increased use of resources threaten the livelihoods of millions of small farmers. Only with an interdisciplinary effort based on evidence-based, scientific knowledge can a paradigm shift towards agroecological, sustainable and highly productive agriculture be achieved, securing the livelihoods of these farmers and the food supply for the population in the long term. The degree programme imparts broad knowledge of tropical agriculture and combines interdisciplinary approaches in a course that specifically trains you in development-oriented agricultural research and prepares you to lead multidisciplinary teams. You have the option of obtaining a single degree in Hohenheim or a double degree with the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.
