Electronics plays a decisive role in shaping our digital world. It is a future-orientated subfield of electrical engineering that deals with the development of components and their integration into electronic circuits and systems. Optimised power electronics and digital control strategies enable efficient and precise electric drives and are therefore of crucial importance for the automation of industrial processes and systems, as well as for the successful transformation towards electromobility. Electronics engineers develop innovative solutions for complex technological challenges in interdisciplinary teams and shape the future in a sustainable way. The Electronics / Electrical Drives study offer is an area of specialisation in the Electrical Engineering degree course (B.Eng.).
