Medical technology products can be found in almost all segments of the healthcare sector: in diagnostics, prevention, treatments and operations as well as in rehabilitation. Demographic profiles and cost pressures on the one hand and personalised medicine on the other require different products and solutions for medical technical problems in the future. In order to meet these challenges, engineers who are able to work at the interface between technology and medicine are required. Medical and engineering knowledge thus lead to technological innovations. The degree course combines mechanical engineering knowledge with medical knowledge.
