Annotation

The degree programme in Information Engineering combines the world of digital networked systems with an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. The focus is on software and hardware that enables applications in the fields of intelligent sensor technology, Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics. The degree programme provides the necessary fundamentals and advanced knowledge in the areas of signal processing, control technology, embedded systems, communication technology and artificial intelligence. Students are thus enabled to conceptualise and develop complex information technology systems and their components, supported by system methods and software engineering. The knowledge imparted in the Information Engineering degree programme for the development and implementation of such complex technical systems opens up excellent career opportunities for motivated students in diverse, technologically driven industries and enables them to use these skills in hardware, software and product development.
