Food science, manufacturing techniques and entrepreneurship combined in one degree course Have you already successfully obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Food Production or related fields and would now like to gain deeper insights into the ecological and economic aspects of business processes? Then this degree course is just right for you! Why should you study Food Economics at Trier University of Applied Sciences? In addition to focusing on management-related topics, you will also have the opportunity to set your own priorities. You will also have access to numerous elective courses from the fields of economics, engineering and/or natural sciences. Our goal is for you to be universally employable in management positions in many industries after completing your studies. You can also pursue a doctorate with this Master’s academic degree. On the main campus in Trier, you will complete your Food Economics degree programme in 3 semesters and obtain the Master of Engineering (MEng) academic degree.
Admission requirements
Professionally qualifying degree in the areas Food Technology, Food Engineering, Food Science, Biotechnology, Life Science, Nutrition Science or in a related subject with min. 210 credit points (ECTS), gained with a grade average of "good" (2.5) or better.
