The "Media Informatics Online" Master's degree course is characterised by an in-depth, interdisciplinary education with elements taken from Computer Science, Media Design and Media Technology, supplemented by the fundamentals of scientific work. Through a wide range of compulsory elective modules, specialisation in the fields of Mobile Computing and Security, Software and Data, Human-Computer Interaction and Interactive 3D is possible.

In the online taster course, you can gain an insight into the process of an online study programme, get to know other students and try out various modules.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements are a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in the field of Computer Science, Media Informatics, Media or a course comparable to Media Informatics.

Degree courses are recognised as comparable if their graduateshave acquired knowledge and skills that correspond to Computer Science modules worth at least 60 ECTS points or Media modules worth at least 60 ECTS points.

In case of doubt, the responsible examination board decides. Admission may be granted on a conditional basis.

The regular start of studies takes place in the winter semester. Application for and admission to the summer semester is nevertheless possible due to the flexible course design.
