A basic internship of 10 weeks must be completed by the end of the 3rd semester at the latest. The basic internship should be completed before the start of the course. For more information, see Examination and Internship Regulations. The degree programme is also offered as a degree programme with vocational and academic elements (is+i). In order to study according to the dual study option (is+i), a study contract must be concluded between the student or the student and the cooperation partner of the dual study option is+i before the start of the programme. This degree course can also be studied in the "GettING Started" course variant. The "GettING Started" programme offers a more flexible start to your studies by extending the standard period of study by two semesters (Federal Students Assistance Act (BAföG) funded) and by providing specialized and individualised help with the start of studies. In the Mechanical Engineering degree programme, international students have the option of completing their studies in a bilingual format.
