Annotation

Physician Assistant is a medical assistant profession that is primarily anchored in the USA and for about 15 years in the Netherlands. The Federal Medical Association and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians support the establishment of the professional profile of the so-called medical assistant. They are intended to support and relieve doctors in close cooperation with them, with the aim of countering fragmentation of care and questionable effects on patient safety and quality of care. The idea of uniform medical practice by the doctor is not affected.
