The laboratory phases take place in the Ellwangen study centre, which is established as a scientific and technical competence centre. The course includes two compulsory laboratory periods, each of which covers a weekend (Friday 4 pm to 9 pm and Saturday 8 am to 5 pm). Attendance courses and examinations in the study centres Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Ellwangen, Frankfurt, Fürth, Hamburg, Hamm, Hanover, Innsbruck, Cologne, Künzelsau, Leipzig, Leverkusen, Mannheim, Munich, Riedlingen, Stuttgart, Wertheim, Vienna, Zell, Zurich.
