All Teaching Qualification degree courses are characterised by a wide variety of teaching programmes and early practical teaching experience in schools: the programme includes instrumental and singing lessons (on request also in the field of jazz), music theory and composition, aural training, choral conducting, voice training, practical piano playing, improvisation, arrangement, percussion, rhythmics, movement, dance, speech training, choral and ensemble work, music education and musicology. The career opportunities for graduates are correspondingly diverse. Parallel to studying Music at the Saar Music Academy, students also study the second subject as well as educational sciences at Saarland University.
