Annotation
The University Mainz offers the Master of Education exclusively for Teaching Qualification (Grammar Schools). If the Bachelor degree certificate is not available by the application deadline, but at least 135 credit points can be demonstrated: Submit a certificate of study and examinations and the average grade achieved so far. (This certificate must be issued by the relevant higher education institution, original or officially authenticated copy). After enrolment, the diploma must be submitted. If the degree was obtained abroad: officially authenticated copy of a certificate of recognition (responsible: Student Service - Admission International).
Admission requirements
Bachelor's degree in teaching (Bachelor of Education) in the corresponding subject. A requirement is that students have sufficient active and passive command of English to enable them to read specialist literature in English and to participate in lectures conducted in English. Sufficient proficiency in Latin (Latinum (Latin proficiency certificate) and/or complementary state examination) is required for the Master’s degree course Teaching Qualification for Grammar Schools and for the study module History as a secondary subject in the Master of Education course in combination with Visual Arts or Music (non Art-based minor subject).
