Annotation

Do you want to actively promote social justice and equal opportunities in your job by supporting people professionally in difficult life situations? As part of the degree programme with vocational and academic elements in Social Work, we provide you with pedagogical, psychological and legal knowledge. In addition, you will acquire intercultural skills in interacting with people from different environments and cultures. During your studies, you will regularly switch between theory and practice. So you always apply your knowledge directly. With your academic degree, you receive the title of "state-recognised social worker and social pedagogue", which is an important employment requirement for many social institutions. Depending on the location, your course will be offered either as a degree programme with vocational and academic elements or as a dual-degree myStudium course. Both models offer you interactive learning materials and lots of other benefits. In a degree programme with vocational and academic elements, you will attend lectures on campus or virtually two days per week. In the dual myStudium at IU, you can also use our learning AI and deepen your knowledge in regularly held accompanying events.
