Annotation

Would you like to actively help shape the development of children? Then the degree programme with vocational and academic elements in Childhood Pedagogy is perfect for you. Among other things, you will deal with the reference sciences of sociology, psychology and pedagogy as well as with questions of childhood pedagogy. With your academic degree, you receive the title of "state-recognised childhood educator", which is an important employment requirement for many institutions. For example, you are a sought-after specialist in day care centres and all-day schools. You will learn all about the practical side of the profession during the course: on the basis of case studies and during your work at your practice partner. Depending on the location, your course will be offered either as a degree programme with vocational and academic elements or as a dual-degree myStudium course. Both models offer you interactive learning materials and lots of other benefits. In a degree programme with vocational and academic elements, you will attend lectures on campus or virtually two days per week. In the dual myStudium at IU, you can also use our learning AI and deepen your knowledge in regularly held accompanying events.
