Target group
Graduates will be able to identify and document customer requirements, analyse complex problems, design suitable IT solutions and successfully implement them in a software project, and manage these projects. To this end, they collaborate with other computer scientists as well as users and experts in other disciplines. They are aware of the ethical issues surrounding IT and take responsibility for their decisions.
Annotation
The degree course has study focus areas: Machine Learning and Software Engineering: Theory and practical implementation of artificial intelligence methods. Graduates can select suitable algorithms, parameterise them and implement them in a usable application. In addition, they are able to generate an AI-compatible data set from predefined raw data by being able to safely apply suitable data analysis and processing methods. Human Computer Interaction: In-depth understanding of user interface design. Graduates can design these ergonomically according to customer requirements.
Admission requirements
The requirement for enrolment in the degree programme with vocational and academic elements, which is taught in English, is a contract with a company that, in addition to the basic cooperation agreement with the university, provides assurance that the business language used in the company is English. This company must be found independently by the applicant. The Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences’ company database provides guidance on this.
