Admission requirements
Admission restrictions, see admission regulations Language certificates depending on the language combination selected: German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish (both C1 CEFR) For the international variant of the degree course "Translation and Cultural Mediation," the application period is from 01.04. until 15.06 for the winter semester for German and foreign applicants. In the international variant "Translation and Cultural Mediation", applicants must also pass the aptitude test provided by the University of Salamanca. The examination must be completed online within the deadline provided for this purpose (for details see the homepage of the Institute for Translation and Interpretation) and in accordance with the provisions laid down in the relevant regulation. For the international variant "Translation and translation technologies", the application deadline is 15.11. for the summer semester.

For the first-degree courses and consecutive Master's degree programmes at the Universität Heidelberg no general tuition fees are charged. For international students from countries outside the European Union (EU) and outside the European Economic Area (EEA), tuition fees of 1,500 euros per semester are charged at all universities in Baden-Württemberg.
