Annotation

The orientation internship will be forgone as of winter semester of 2023/24. This only applies to students who are newly enrolled from the winter semester of 2023/24 onwards. Subject to the approval of the committees and the approval of the Hessian Ministry of Culture, new study and examination regulations will come into force for the Teaching Qualification for Primary Schools in the winter semester 2023/24. It is envisaged that you will have to study three subjects, one of which will be studied as a so-called "long subject" amounting to 50 CP and the other two as "short subjects" amounting to 24 CP each. Furthermore, the subjects of Mathematics and German in Hesse are compulsory for all L1 students. The third subject can be freely chosen. A detailed description of the course structure will be available soon on the ABL website (link is not yet active). As part of the online application, you must specify which of the three subjects you would like to study as a long subject. The Goethe University is planning to switch proof of the rescue swimming badge in the subject of sport to a recommendation. Subject to the relevant decisions of the responsible governing and decision-making bodies and the State of Hesse, this regulation will come into force from 1.10.23, with the result that enrolment for the winter semester will presumably be possible without rescue swimming badges.
