Annotation
No machine lasts forever, which is why industrial engineers specialising in the after-sales sector are more in demand than ever: they coordinate – often worldwide – the maintenance of industrial plants, design the service for these machines and further develop corresponding services. The future fields of work are diverse and demanding and this is reflected in excellent career opportunities and entry-level salaries. The interdisciplinary curriculum encompasses the most important fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Business Administration (Service Management). In addition to the technical fundamentals of a mechanical engineering degree course, you will learn everything about industrial services that are provided after the sale of machines and systems, e.g. spare parts pricing, design of service contracts, use of field service technicians, marketing of service products, analysis of industries and markets. Practical laboratories, exercises in small groups, student tutorials and lectures with only about 40 students ensure your academic success and that you do not get lost in the crowd. The theoretical and technical contents of the general and dual study options are congruent – but: Our dual study variant offers you the "plus" that you apply the knowledge you have acquired at the university directly in practical work at the partner company during the lecture-free periods, thus gaining practical experience. Through this close interlinking of theory and practice, you will qualify twice. In addition, you will be remunerated for working at the company.
