Proof of knowledge in two modern foreign languages (at least level B1) or in Latin or Ancient Greek and a modern foreign language is required. A good command of English and French is particularly desirable. The proof must be provided with the application.
Letter of motivation required

a) Proof of a Bachelor's degree with a clear specialisation in General and Comparative Literary Studies, American Studies, English Studies, German Studies, History of Art, Media Science, Musicology, Philosophy, Romance Languages and Literatures, Scandinavian Studies, Theatre, Film and Media Studies or another national philology each with a clear specialisation in the field of Aesthetics/Theory and with a standard period of study of at least six semesters or b) Proof of a degree which is at least equivalent from a German university or a German university of applied sciences in one of the named or a related subject area with a standard period of study of at least six semesters or
c) Proof of a foreign degree which is at least equivalent in the same or a related subject area with a standard period of study of at least six semesters
