The six-semester interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree programme in Urban and Regional Planning_Foundations enables students to approach planning projects analytically and to develop and visualise proposed solutions using planning tools and methods as well as computer-assisted applications. It teaches the basics of urban and regional planning with its technical, economic, design, architectural, sociopolitical, social, legal and ecological aspects. Throughout the project-oriented course of study, students are closely supervised and prepared for the high substantive and personal skills that the field of urban and regional planning requires. The course is characterised by a high level of practical relevance, and a 12-week compulsory Bachelor's work placement must be completed in the fourth semester.
