Annotation
Understanding Europe in the World: Students of the degree course in historiography of modernity transcultural (M.A.) analyse Europe and the modernity that emanates from there, which is characterised by diversity, but also by political, economic, social and religious conflicts. Against the background of European history in its worldwide interdependence, the degree course also offers insights into understanding the catastrophes of the 20th century and current crises. Internships, practical seminars and the learning of foreign languages offer the opportunity to gain intercultural experience and to establish a personal and professional network. A vibrant international and multilingual culture is an integral part of the cross-border campus life at the European University Viadrina in the German-Polish twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice.
