Annotation
Establishing communication: In the Language – Media – Society (M.A.) degree course, students explore language use in all its facets and consider it in the context of power relations, the construction of belonging and in the context of cultural and linguistic diversity. Thematic focal points are multilingualism, gesture research, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics or language and mediality/technology. Learning foreign languages and pursuing international dual degrees at partner universities in Poland and France offer the opportunity to gain intercultural experience as well as to establish an international personal network. A vibrant international and multilingual culture is an integral part of the cross-border campus life at the European University Viadrina in the German-Polish twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice.
