Annotation

The Bachelor of Arts in European Cultures and Society (EUCS) degree course is an interdisciplinary, English-language degree course. The degree programme focuses on European studies with a focus on social sciences, cultural studies and the humanities. Projects can be carried out in the areas of research, journalism, art and scenography as well as entrepreneurship. On the whole, students specialise in either European cultures or European society. A compulsory semester abroad serves to deepen intercultural communication skills and command of a foreign language as well as familiarity with other cultures and societies. The degree programme is open to German and international students from all over the world.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements for the B.A. European Cultures and Society are the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or the subject-linked higher education entrance qualification 'Economics' as well as 'Social Affairs'. The entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences does not entitle the holder to take up university studies in Schleswig-Holstein. Information on the professional qualifications that entitle you to study can be found at https://www.uni-flensburg.de/portal-studieninteressierte/bewerbung/studium-ohne-abitur/ In addition, an adequate command of English is required. For proof of language skills, a certificate submitted must not be older than a maximum of two years from the beginning of the semester for which registration is requested.

    International students from non-EU Member States should submit their documents early or better submit their certificates plus translations to the Admissions Office for review before the official start of application. If verification is not possible, the documents must be sent to the central office in Bonn. The examination procedure there can take several months. In order to be admitted to the selection procedure, you must have obtained the results of the test by the closing date for applications at the latest.
