Online study with live online seminars. You can take your exams online or at an exam centre – you can choose each time you register for an exam. Or distance learning on site, with seminars and examinations in Hamburg, Hannover or Leipzig. Studies commence in April and October. After an individual assessment, it is also possible to start the programme at any other time.

Admission requirements

For admission to the distance learning Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, you must meet the following requirements: - Proof of completed vocational training as a state-recognised educator or an equivalent initial vocational qualification in the fields of education, pedagogy and social pedagogy (e.g. remedial teacher, graduate social pedagogue, primary school teacher) and - Proof of at least 12 months' professional experience in this field and - General higher education entrance qualification or - Entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or - Intermediate school leaving certificate (at least secondary school leaving certificate) and qualified completion of a recognised vocational training course (at least 3 years, final grade 2.5 or better)
