The degree course in Teaching Music offers the following degree profiles: 1. Higher Music Teaching Qualification with the sub-profiles 1.a) Musicology/Music Education/Project Teaching 1.b) Ensemble Conducting 1.c) Musical Theatre/Performance Acting 2. Music Education (ME) 3. Elementary Music Education 4. Music Journalism 5. Ecumenical Church Music 6. Music Teaching Popular Music/Music Production Each of these degree profiles entitles the student to subsequently study Music with the degree Master of Education, which gives access to the preparatory period of service (traineeship) at a grammar school. The academic studies can only be supplemented with a second academic subject at a university in Profile 1 (Music Teacher) with its three variations (see above).
