The training-integrated Bachelor's degree course in Childhood Pedagogy combines vocational training to become a state-recognised educator with the study of Childhood Pedagogy. The aim of the degree course is to provide educational specialists with scientific training for particularly qualified activities in the field of work of child and youth welfare. The degree course prepares you to deal with children, families, colleagues and cooperation partners in the context of multi-professional education, training and care settings in a professionally and methodically sound manner. The theoretical and practical content at the three learning locations of the university, technical school and practical facility are closely interlinked. With this concept, the Catholic University of Applied Sciences is responding to the increased social and educational policy requirements made on childhood pedagogy work. The degree course is concluded with two professional qualifications: Childhood pedagogy (BA) / Childhood Education (B.A.) State-approved youth/child care worker, The dual degree course is offered at the Cologne and Paderborn campuses.
