Annotation
For holders of the qualification certificate as an Engineering Officer of the Watch (Technischer Wachoffizier), it is possible to reduce the course to four semesters.
Admission requirements
Proof of practical experience: Technical pre-course work placement lasting 26 weeks in the area of metalworking or proof of completed professional training as a ships mechanic, - completed TOA (assistant technical officer) training according to the federal guidelines, - training qualification in a relevant metal or electrical profession or practical training through a certificate of competency according to Section 5 of the Ordinance on Training and Qualification of Captains and Ships Officers of the Nautical and Technical Shipping Service (SchOffzAusbV)
