Description

In the Division of Diagnostics and Differential Psychology, we investigate systematic patterns and processes of personality development and personality-context transactions, with a focus on life events and romantic relationship dynamics. The assessment methods include longitudinal experience sampling studies. Another research focus of the division is the investigation of romantic partner interactions in a laboratory context, including video-based behavior coding.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Developing an independent research question in the Emmy Noether Project AMOR on personality-relationship transactions in young, middle-aged and older romantic couples
  • Planning, conducting, and publishing the above-mentioned research in international journals and presenting the findings at scientific conferences
  • Supervising student assistants and interns
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of the AMOR study (e.g. recruitment)

Your profile

  • Enjoyment of scientific work in the field of personality psychology 
  •  A successfully completed scientific university degree in psychology
  • Accurate working and strong team spirit
  • Confident handling of large, longitudinal data sets
  • Competent use of statistics and data collection programs (e.g. R, fomr)
  • Very good English and German skills (or willingness to acquire them)
  • Interest in media communication
