The Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISSE) of the University of Technologies Clausthal is hiring a
academic researcher in the field of sustainable AI-based logistic optimization
(if the personal requirements are fulfilled EG 13 TV-L, Clausthal-Zellerfeld und Goslar)
at first for a 3-year duration. The job offer is basically part time suitable.
During the duration of the position it is possible to strive for a PhD. The at the Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISSE) located Research Group Digitized Green Tech focusses on the design and the development of digital solutions to shape a sustainable future.

As part of various projects within the research group, you will deal with scientific issues relating to digital tools as pioneers of the circular economy. In particular, the area of sustainable, AI-based logistics offers an exciting field of application for the research profile of the working group. To this end, scientists are working on the conception and development of tool sharing and repair services.
Your main activity will be working on the "Zukunftslabor Circular Economy" project. Here you will represent the Institute of Software and Systems Engineering as a specialist contact person and doctoral student.
Your tasks are:
- Requirements Engineering, conception and documentation for digital applications
- Handling of research projects
- Conception of systems and services for green tech applications
- Conceptualization of AI-based research solutions
- Publication of research papers on national and international basis
- Support for the preparation and conduction of university courses
- Implementation of concepts and processes
Your profile:
- Successful academic degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Digital Technologies or comparable study program
- Open for diverse tasks and exciting topics in the field of Digitized Circular Economy
- Structured way of working and fast comprehension of new issues
- Joy in working in an academic context
- Good knowledge of different programing languages like Python, R, C++, Java or C#
- Good knowledge in the field of object orientation and sufficient knowledge of the UML
- Good skills in English
- Knowledge in the field of project management
- Good German language skills
