Description

The International Max Planck Research School “Knowledge and Its Resources: Historical Reciprocities” (IMPRS-KIR) invites applications for 3 doctoral positions, to begin on September 1, 2026. Each position will run for 3.5 years, with the possibility of extending once by six months. The application deadline is January 15, 2026.

The IMPRS-KIR is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin. It is an international PhD program based in the history and philosophy of science, technology, and medicine. We welcome proposals with focus on regions around the globe and on any historical time period which can relate to and enrich the School’s research agenda.
