Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students and employees of Leibniz University Hanover can also use the university sports facilities of the universities that belong to the University Sports Association of Lower Saxony/Bremen (HVNB). Participation is subject to fees. The Hanover university sports programme offers a wide range of activities including more than 100 different types of sport and 800 courses per semester. The vibrant SportCAMPUS is home to the university’s own, modern CAMPUSFit gym, which sets a high standard for varied and effective fitness training. In addition, the KletterCAMPUS climbing hall is another highlight on the property. In the summer semesters in particular, the university sports programme is supplemented by events. For example, there is the league CAMPUSliga in different sports as well as the University Sports Festival and the University Summer Festival.
