Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the cooperating higher education institutions of the TUC. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The programme is open to: Students of the cooperating higher education institutions and visitors if capacity is available. The university sports programme of the TU Clausthal provides attractive courses in over 70 types of sports; for example, fitness and health sports, different sports games and martial arts, water and snow sports. A real jewel in the university's crown is its boathouse on Oker Dam. The beautiful Harz Mountains are an attractive destination with skiing and snowboarding in the winter and with mountain biking, sailing, beach volleyball and hiking in the summer.
