There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Korean.

The university does not have its own sports programme. Students can use the offers of the University Sports Cologne. In addition to sports courses in fitness, endurance, ball, health, dance sports, martial arts and water sports, sports trips, events and competitions are also offered. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. In addition, students can also use a variety of different gyms in and around Cologne.
