Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the Ostfalia Wolfenbüttel sports programme. In addition, the HVNB strives to ensure that all students of Lower Saxony's universities are entitled to participate in the sports programs of all study locations within Lower Saxony. Participation is subject to fees. The programme is open to: Students of the higher education institutions in Braunschweig (incl. Ostfalia Wolfenbüttel). As the central facility, the sports centre is a communication, cultural, health and exercise centre. It also offers the possibility to get to know previously unknown forms of movement, which should help those participating to find a personally optimized range of exercise, to bring harmony to their everyday life at university. Similar to workplace health promotion, the sports centre has also been offering a student health promotion project since 10/2017.
