Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Turkish, Arabic, Dutch. KIT students may take part in the language courses of the university alliances EUCOR (5 universities) and EPICUR (8 universities).

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the PH Karlsruhe sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. 3 sports halls, 1 multi-functional open-air hall, 1 gym, 2 martial arts rooms, 1 grass court, 1 with artificial turf, 2 beach volleyball courts, 6 tennis courts, 1 shot put area, 1 outdoor climbing wall and 1 outdoor gym; Swimming pool, sauna; WALK-IN, Centre for Fitness and Health (1200 customers); 78 disciplines, 370 courses, 24 external properties (sailing house, rowing boat house, surfing facility, 3 artificial turf pitches, 3 grass pitches, etc.).
