Services: Digital library, e-books, e-journals, databases, university publications online, historical stock. Digitalised textbook collection, use training on working with databases and with PRIMO; Opening hours: Mon-Fri 8am-10pm, Sat 10am-6pm.

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, Russian, Spanish. Russian lessons in the “students teach students” programme; Monthly language meeting in English through the Cosmopolitan Club; German Grammar/Conversation for Intern.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. It is possible to participate in the climbing activities at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Within the framework of “Studium Generale” the module "Health Education and Movement" is offered. The goal is to stabilize and/or improve the students' physical and mental performance and, at the same time, to train health and social skills, such as “team communication and integration skills”. Since 1999, the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has been a partner university for top level sports. Sports: The university offers its own sports programme with up to 40 sports offers per week. A fitness area is available for individual strength and fitness training.
