Special features regarding the library

Wide range of growing digital opportunities in the information market. Besides the conventional library stock, a growing number of electronic items are also on offer, which complement the university library's existing resources (databases, e-books, platforms etc.). Self-service facilities enable longer opening hours; special lending arrangements for students about to conclude their degree and for those studying abroad for a semester; videos and DVDs in the fields of Architecture and Art History; Travel guides provided to support excursions and semesters abroad.

There is a foreign language centre. Offered languages: Chinese, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Turkish.

Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the University of Bochum sports programme. Participation is free of charge.
