There is a foreign language centre. Offered languages: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Finnish and Swedish as part of the new cultural elective "Destination North" from summer semester 2021.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Large variety of sports offers including current trends (e.g. callisthenics and cross training); health-oriented courses (e.g. yoga); organisation of own tournaments and events (e.g. beach volleyball and football); participation of students in regional and national championships (e.g. university championship Ultimate), sports opportunities also outside the official programme directly on campus (e.g. beach volleyball).
